2020-2021 New Student Enrollment Information

Students planning to enroll as a new student to Grainger High School may download and print the 2020-2021 New Student Enrollment Packet here.  Completed enrollment packets and required documentation may be emailed to the school counselor assigned to the student's grade. Completed packets may also be returned to Grainger High School beginning Tuesday, July 28, 2020.

Senior Information

 

All seniors are provided with the opportunity to use two excused College and Career Days during their senior year (one during first semester, one during second semester). College and Career Day Request forms are available online or in the School Counseling Office, Room 209. Completed forms must be submitted with all teacher signatures and parent signature three days prior to the visit day. Students must also submit an official letter of proof from the school or industry visited on their first day back to school after the visit, in order to be granted the excused college day.

Any student interested in obtaining a letter of recommendation from a school counselor must submit a completed Brag Sheet to his/her school counselor at least two weeks prior to the date needed. Brag Sheets are available online or in the School Counseling Office, Room 209.

Students should use a Transcript Request Form any time there is a need to have his/her transcripts or ACT scores sent to a school of interest. Transcript Request Forms are available online or in the School Counseling Office, Room 209. Students must provide the address to which transcripts/scores must be sent.

A Note To Student Athletes 

 

Student athletes who wish to participate in NCAA Division I or II athletics: You need to be certified by the NCAA Eligibility Center. You need to qualify academically and you will also need to be cleared as an amateur student-athlete. You are responsible for achieving and protecting your eligibility status. You may register as early as the beginning of your sophomore year by clicking here.

Links to online applications and information are also provided after the scholarship description, if available. Paper applications for those scholarships that do not offer an online application may be picked up in the School Counseling Office, Room 209.

Please be advised that there is not a need to pay for college financial aid assistance. You may obtain information from your school counselor or the college that you plan to attend. You should thoroughly research any agency or service that may require a fee for financial aid or scholarship assistance.

 College News

 

There will be a FREE Area College Fair October 1, 2020 at Carson-Newman University. Over 20 regional colleges will be in attendance! Register in advance at admissions.cn.edu/register/collegefair.

This event will be in the Carson Newman Maddox Student Activity Center. Students will need to register for the event in advance and select a time slot. Spots are limited. Students will be allowed to bring 1 guest with them, and all attendees should wear masks during the event. Social distancing practices will be observed.
